School Holiday Program

The 3-Day program gives you the opportunity to find out more about becoming a pilot. The program provides an opportunity for a maximum number of eight participants over three days to experience what its like to train as a pilot as well as share the flight environment utilising Cessna 172 aircraft.
All practical & theory training is delivered by qualified flight instructors with all participants receiving a long briefing prior to each flight. Visits to local on-field aviation businesses/organisations & facilities may be arranged, & subject to operational requirements a visit to the control tower.
This really is a fantastic opportunity to learn many of the hands-on skills required to pilot an aeroplane in a fun & relaxed environment. While there is some time spent flying in an aircraft or a full size simulator, the focus is that by the end of the course you will understand what it takes to become a pilot, the medical requirements, the structure of a typical training day, the knowledge & skills required to obtain your licence & what are the various training pathways for either a career in aviation or as a recreational pilot including Vocational Education in Schools (VETiS) options for Years 10 to 12.
While targeted at secondary school students aged between 14-18, participants 13 years of age will be considered based on height & maturity.
