Spinning & Aerobatics Flight Activity Endorsements
Aerobatics are a great way to enhance the skill set, whilst having a lot of fun! When trained properly, they are also fairly simple to fly & all pilots are capable of flying them to a desired level. Flight Standards takes a very modulated approach to aerobatics training, commencing with elementary manoeuvres such as the loop & aileron roll & developing into the more advanced manoeuvres such as the barrel roll, slow roll & stall turn. Manouvres can be combined, for example a half loop followed by a roll off the top can be a way of repositioning the aircraft for a subsequent manoeuvre in a sequence – the possibilities are endless & the learning takes place at the individual’s pace.
Spinning training is a pre-requisite for pilots undertaking aerobatics training, as is training in aircraft upset prevention & recovery training (UPRT).
