As the wet season closes, the Bininj-Mungguy (people) of West Arnhemland enter Yegge. While you might think it means an end to the challenges of the wet, new ones are just around the corner!
Controlled burns are lit to clear spear grass; fertilise ground & assist with traditional hunting practices. Expect very poor visibility in every direction & a smoke smell you won’t be able to get out of your pilot shirts…
