Kakadu Air Services
Kakadu Air was acquired as a joint venture between the Flight Standards group & the Top End’s major aircraft maintenance provider – R&R Avionics.
Providing scenic flights over the amazing Kakadu National Park & Arnhemland Plateau, Kakadu Air Services has helped countless commercial pilots gain that elusive first job in the industry for over 40 years!
Flight Standards provides ongoing training & development of the team at Kakadu Air as well being able to put forward recent graduates when new pilots are needed.
Mistar Aircraft Charter
Mistar Aircraft Charter provides charter & aerial work operations conjunction with Marthakal Yolngu Air (Elcho Island / Gove) as well as other ad hoc services across the NT, QLD & WA.
Since acquiring the Mistar operation in 2018, Flight Standards has placed more than 120 pilots in their first flying job through the various operations at Mistar.
Southern Airlines
Flight Standards has provided Southern Airlines with check & training support for their fleet ranging including PA31 Chieftian, C404 Titan, AC50, AC90 C441 Conquest , BE200 Kingair & Beech 1900 fleets. Flight Standard’s relationship with Southern Airlines has also facilitated career pathways & opportunities for progression for many of our pilots at Kakadu Air, Mistar & Flight Standards over the last several years.
NTAS
Northern Territory Air Services (NTAS) operates a substantial fleet of GA aircraft across central Australia & western QLD. Flight Standards provides NTAS with ongoing operational support (our Head of Operations is also their Head of Flying Operations & Head of Training & Checking). We also supply training & checking staff & fill-in pilots when needed. The partnership extends our pilot pathway too, opening first-job opportunities for Flight Standards graduates.
Consolidated Pastoral Company
One of Australia’s largest pastoral operators, CPC maintains many cattle properties in the NT, Western QLD & Kimberley regions. To service their internal travel needs, as well as provide mustering capability, CPC operate a large fleet of single-engine fixed wing aircraft (mostly C172). Flight Standards is proud to have been requested to provide pilot training to the CPC staff, including licence training, low level & aeroplane mustering endorsements, flight reviews & instrument rating training.
Shoal Air
Shoalair operates a wide variety of GA aircraft ac1ross the Kimberly. Flight Standards provides Shoalair with training & checking services. Over the years we have also helped recruit line pilots & key personnel to support their operation.
