The AOCVA flight test evaluates how congenital colour vision deficiencies affect your operational capabilities. Passing this test confirms that you meet the medical standards required for a Class 1 or Class 2 aviation medical certificate without restrictions. However, if you don’t meet the standard, we will guide you through obtaining a restricted medical certificate.
The AOCVA comprises three mandatory components: ground assessments, flight components (general) & PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) evaluations. Each component checks that you can recognise & interpret vital visual signals in various conditions. Our certified examiner conducts these tests independently, guaranteeing a thorough & professional experience.
Our in-house examiner can also travel throughout Australia (subject to availability), offering flexibility & convenience for pilots seeking this essential qualification. Whether you’re preparing for an aviation career or advancing your skills, we’re here to support your journey. With our expertise, you’ll build the confidence & competence needed to excel in your aviation career. Contact us today to learn how we can assist you with your operational colour vision assessment!
